SPEAKING: Ignite their curiosity
|
Keynote speaking - at conferences or other gatherings of a target group of employees - is a way of putting an agenda on the table, creating awareness, igniting curiosity and opening up possibilities. A keynote allows attendees to “taste-test” the solution and generally inspires them to some course of action - often the next step in the process.
It is generally between 30 and 90 minutes in length - most commonly 45 minutes - and therefore doesn’t allow a great deal of depth.
It does engage, entertain, motivate and direct which is a critical first step in any change process.

Release the Talented Stranger Within
So many people suffering from the Imposter Syndrome have never recognised their own talent and latent contribution. In this keynote, the concept of the Imposter Syndrome is introduced in a way that helps individuals recognise the symptoms in themselves (70%) or others they are close to. They get to see the typical coping behaviours and understand the business and work benefits and consequences. Through case studies and personal experience, they will see how they can move beyond Imposterhood to discover and release the talented stranger within - for the benefit of all they associate with.
But this is not about dwelling on what you have been doing. This
is an inspirational talk about making the choice to see
ourselves
differently; to recognise that our limitations are
self-imposed, not put
on us by others; to recognise that who we are is truly far
more than we
could even imagine and finally to accept that success is
there for us
whenever we're ready to claim it: success is simply a matter
of getting
out of our own way.
Timing: 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes
Vanquish the Saboteur
The feeling of being not good enough is most commonly a strong and totally distorted self-belief. We compare ourselves, complete with our inner fears and limitations, to what we see of others - their very best mask - which reinforces that we simply don't measure up. This keynote is about recognising, exposing and eliminating the saboteur so we can see who we truly are and what we are capable of personally and in our work.
Timing: 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes
The Leadership Journey
The traditional view of leadership is positional: the person at the top of the pyramid with all the power is the leader. Yet, that ignores the natural talent and emerging leadership that takes place within the organisation at all levels. Every single employee has unrecognised powers and disowned potential that are so much greater than the power that comes with a title. This keynote is about recognising we are more than we thought, getting past our fears to claim our potential and getting in touch with a powerful purpose to ignite our passion and commitment.
Timing: 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes
Take the Fear out of Selling to create great results
Regardless of what we do, we are all salespeople in today's business world. We may be selling an idea, our talents and experience for a project or promotion or we may be selling products and services to internal or external customers. Regardless, selling is a role that puts our proverbial necks on the line every day. We are putting ourselves in a vulnerable position; one where we might be rejected or fail and those possibilities bring up Fear. There are two key phases of the selling process that trigger feelings of vulnerability: making the initial call and asking for the sale. Yet, they are the critical phases for our career or our business. Even professional salespeople experience the fear and the resulting call reluctance and failure to close. In this keynote, learn why we fear, what the symptoms are in yourself or your team, why its so critical to get past the fear and how to do it.
Timing: 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes
Engagement is a choice
Organisations can set up employee engagement programmes and create working conditions that support employee engagement ... that is their responsibility. Individuals within the organisation have the responsibility to seek to be engaged in their work, to actively look for what is good about their job, to seek meaning at work. They need to choose to engage rather. than passively wait to be engaged. Often, though, feelings of inadequacy result in self-protective behaviour which gets in the way of truly engaging. Learn why engagement is a two-way street and what's in it for you - the employee - to choose to engage.
Timing: 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes
Authentic Success
Why are some people successful when others who seem to have the same capabilities do not succeed? And why does success often not bring the fulfillment and happiness we expect it will when we chase after it? This keynote is all about understanding what success means to us individually, to recognise the factors that contribute to and stand in the way of authentic success as we define it and to walk away with some tools on how to move towards the success we truly desire.
Timing: 45, 60 and 90 minutes
